Well last night Matt, Rebecca, and the kids came over to eat supper and watch the Bud Shootout. On the menu was deer chili! This is a favorite at our house. We knew that Rebecca wasn't much of a venison eater but she did give it a try. We also had to keep it a secret from Allison that in her words she was "eating Bambi". Allison had eaten almost her entire bowl of chili until she asked her father if we were eating deer chili. Of course Matt told her "Yes, it's deer chili". A couple more bits and she was done. She said that she was full but I think that Matt telling her the truth made her lose her appetitte! Over all the night went well with very few fights between the kids. But best of all my man, Dale Jr., won the Bud Shootout with his new number and new team!!!

That is so funny! My dad is a hunter, so I grew up eating only venison (instead of beef, anyway), and everyone always was so shocked by that. Jeremy still won't eat it if he knows that's what I've cooked with! Ha!
